Savage Woods is a family owned and operated company specializing in the importation of exotic tropical hardwood lumber of Central America. We’ve established direct relationships with the remote sawmills that harvest rare hardwoods such as Ziricote, Cocobolo, Tzalam, Chechen, Granadillo, Redheart, Bocote, Bilinga, Opepe, Katalox, and many others. It is our goal to provide quality hardwoods to the US market with honesty, integrity and in a personable way. We maintain inventory volumes here in Texas, as well as in Mexico, Belize and Nicaragua. If we do not have what you require in our immediate Texas inventory then we are happy to provide you a price & lead time quotation for your requirements. Depending on the species, we can usually bring in a container to meet your needs within 8 to 10 weeks A.R.O.
We pride ourselves on our order fulfillment efforts – when accommodating a container order, we don’t simply phone in your order as some might do – we represent your interest fully by traveling to the mill and performing quality control, supervising the loading process, as well as handling all of the permits and documentation for legal entry into the United States. This includes USDA, CITES, and required Lacey Declaration Compliance along with the standard entry protocols mandated by CBP.
